Coronavirus Update

In light of the uncertainty we all face in our daily lives with the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), I wanted to write to you directly to keep you informed of the steps we here at Sherwood are taking to ensure we are prepared for all scenarios. My absolute number one priority is the safety of our staff and customers. The coronavirus pandemic is clearly a significant issue. We’re closely monitoring Government instructions and taking all necessary measures to protect our staff, their families, and our clients. We wanted to contact you now to provide an update on what Sherwood have been doing and the plans we have in place to keep it ‘business as usual’in the coming months. We would also like to take this opportunity to explain the latest situation with regard to your Plan, upcoming review meetings and how we are keeping our clients and staff safe.

Thank you

First of all, we would like to thank you for your measured response to recent market turmoil. While it is true, we have received quite a number of calls and messages in recent days, it is gratifying that the majority of you are remaining calm. As such the office hasn’t been overwhelmed with calls, meaning that we can continue with our job of working on behalf of our clients.

Review meetings

We would like to offer our clients the option to meet with us remotely, via video or phone call, instead of meeting face-to-face. We have the facilities to use voice and video calls (like Skype/FaceTime) and would be happy to conduct all review meetings in this way for the time being. We are especially concerned about protecting the health and well-being of our older clients, as it appears that coronavirus can be transmitted before symptoms are present. We will contact you individually as your annual review dates arise to make personal arrangements with you.

The Sherwood Office

Our existing computer systems are all cloud-based, which means no loss of access if we cannot use our office in Blackmore. We’ve put the necessary solutions in place to ensure our staff can work remotely and ensure business continuity.

Business as usual

We continue to be extremely grateful to those of you who regularly recommend us to your friends and colleagues – please don’t stop this over the coming months! We appreciate that people wouldn’t necessarily want to switch immediately (some might) but as you are all aware, we advise on a wide range of other insurance products, not just Health Insurance.

We will provide further updates as the situation evolves. If you have any questions or concerns, please do get in touch in the normal ways.
